Marie Curie is well known for celebrating afternoon tea, with fundraisers across the country hosting “Blooming Great Tea Parties” to raise money to support their teams of dedicated and hard-working nurses.

Inspired by this, one of the charity’s Norfolk Patrons, Melinda Raker, and local food campaigners Vanessa Scott, owner of Strattons Hotel, and Mary Kemp, cookery writer and demonstrator, have combined their knowledge and love of Norfolk ingredients to raise money for Marie Curie. Bringing together their passion for good food and all that is Norfolk, they have created “Everything Stops For Tea”; Norfolk’s Own Cookbook; a beautifully designed cookery book packed full of recipes celebrating teatime.

Featuring 192 pages of wonderful teatime recipes from our 80 Norfolk contributors, including some of the county’s top chefs, retailers and producers – each recipe is packed with incredible Norfolk ingredients from cakes and tarts for those special occasions to cheesecakes, savoury quiches and so much more.

And with the total cost of production already paid for by the generosity of sponsors and contributors, all £20 for every book sold will go towards providing one hour of Marie Curie palliative nursing care.
